A Dirty Shame is a bittersweet watch, not for reasons of context but because I’m nearing the end of Waters’ oeuvre and I don’t know how to sit with the idea of it being over! I’ve been milking his repertoire for the last decade. Maybe I’ll take my time tracking down Mondo Trasho and Eat Your Makeup and stretch it over another 10 years. Oh jeez. Somebody give this man a few million dollars to fund Liarmouth before he gets even older. He just turned 80 for god’s sake!
